We who with songs beguile your pilgrimage / And swear that Beauty lives though lilies die, / We Poets of the proud old lineage / Who sing to find your hearts, we know not why ... (James Elroy Flecker)

Poetry Prompt

She gives us examples:

three ‘screen’ poems.

Each screen is made

of green leaves, emblem

of nature, of life.

In each, behind

the vibrant screen,

slowly revealed, is the death

of one much loved – presented

through light-filled screens,

which do not conceal deep pain.

A Quadrille, written for Q258: I Screen, You Screen, We All Screen ... at dVerse Poets Pub.
