early Spring

late Summer

These are marvellous , my friend. Each one a gem.
ReplyDeleteYou capture them so beautifully... especially like..“jewelry” –
ReplyDeleteshe changes the spelling
between thunderclaps... that made me smile!
Ha ha, literally true in the moment, that one.
DeleteNuggets of beauty...sigh.
ReplyDeleteFor me, these haiku are full of nostalgia, evoked by the first and continued in this lovely series, Rosemary. I especially love the hot water bottle one and the one that reminds me of growing up at my grandmother's house;, because she had a huge collection of beautiful buttons that I used to make into jewellery - and reminded me of the differences in American and British spelling!

I love this! Such wonderful bouts of nostalgia run through these verses especially "late Summer fallen frangipani brown in the heat"... we have a bunch of them around the garden.
ReplyDeleteAh yes, we're in the same Hemisphere now, aren't we?
DeleteYes!💖💖
DeleteLove them all.
ReplyDeleteI smiled reading the one about mother's soup. My mom wasn't very good at American style meals, but she made such delicious and comforting food from her own country.
ReplyDeleteTo see the world through a lens of humor and impressionism, to be playful--what a marvelous thing.
ReplyDeleteLove them all, but the thought rainbow(y) goodness dancing through the gloom of clouds made me smile the brightest. :-)
ReplyDeleteall lovely gems!
ReplyDeletemy favourite is the "hot water bottle". :)
real gems of words here Rosemary - titular prompts condensed into such acute lines - like icons. Can I pick a favourite? Not really but the soup and rainbow jello perhaps!
ReplyDeleteThese are inspirational. Beautiful images.
ReplyDeleteI must bookmark this event as I am just enjoying your poems so much....I want to join in. I love each but the pies had me licking my lips and anticipating trying all those flavors!
ReplyDeleteLove all your wonderful observations Rosemary - but the cat is extra-special!
ReplyDeleteAnna :o]
The "changing the spelling" haiku makes me smile with delight. Love it!
ReplyDeleteAn alluring collection :)
ReplyDelete"Mum’s soup –
better medicine
than laughter"
- the best !
loved all of them they promote visuals quite well
ReplyDeleteOh I love them all but the warmth of the cat is special
ReplyDeleteMum's soup can cure most anything. Smiles. And seeing a rainbow through the clouds -- no greater joy!
ReplyDeleteWonderful and creative responses to the prompts.

Loved them all. The First Frost struck a lost note, wonderfully, for me. ~~~ beautiful ~~~
ReplyDeleteLove the home made soup prompt. Takes me back more years than I wish to mention. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteUtterly delightful. I felt I was sneaking a peek at someones diary.
ReplyDeleteThese are potent. I especially like the sharp edge of childhood in the first one. I had to look up frangipani.
ReplyDeleteDelicate and beautiful pieces all together they read perfectly
