We who with songs beguile your pilgrimage / And swear that Beauty lives though lilies die, / We Poets of the proud old lineage / Who sing to find your hearts, we know not why ... (James Elroy Flecker)

A Postcard from 'the Lucky Country'

Look where I am! Right here at home! I have all

the luck! Seriously, we might just now be into

rising cost of living, increasing homelessness,

worsening floods and bushfires (climate change)

but at least there’s no war or famine, at least some

refugees can arrive (by plane) and not get locked up....

Are you safe? Are you well? Bet you wish you were here!

A poem combining the NaPoWriMo prompt: Postcard, and the Poem A Day prompt: Luck.

Hmmm, some readers appear to be missing the irony!
